The Altware Full Touch Communicator is the most capable handheld device in the Blackout Comms lineup. It was hand-built and tested by the Blackout Comms team and trusted to work. This is not a mass-produced consumer gadget. Every unit is made to order.
The centerpiece is a 3.5 inch full touchscreen. You swipe, tap, and type just like a smartphone, but this device has nothing to do with Google, Apple, or any carrier watching what you send. It runs entirely on local radio frequencies. No internet required. No infrastructure. No one in the middle.
It ships with a DS3231 Realtime Clock built in, which means it starts up instantly and adds an additional layer of security that other devices in the lineup do not have. Your encrypted data lives on an included SD card, which means you can swap the card between compatible communicators if needed. On the back is a status indicator light so you can check for new messages or confirm connectivity without even waking the screen.
GPS is handled by a DFRobot Gravity GNSS module, and the external rubber ducky antenna connects via RP-SMA so you can upgrade it down the road. The enclosure is PETG, which is tough, lightweight, and built to take field use seriously.
This is the device for people who are done compromising.
